Man's Best Friend

Human to Dog Years

Most dog owner's know that humans age slower than dogs. The general rule is that one year in your dog's life is equal to seven years in your life. The math isn't quite as easy as this. Dogs age quickly in their early years and then their rate of aging slows. Also different breeds as well as the size of you dog makes a difference in their age. Smaller dogs age more slowly than older dogs. Look at this chart for a 5 year old dog, 10 year old dog, and 15 year old dog to see the comparisons.

Use this calculator just for fun to see how old you are in dog years. It will be different from the chart as it uses the rate of dogs aging seven times faster than humans.
